Watling Cottage is a gem! Great location for a stroll into Corbridge to enjoy the lovely shops and eateries, whilst the cottage is beautifully furnished, making the most of original features and lovely finishing touches. Comfy beds and spotlessly clean bathrooms - great to have 2 separate bath / shower rooms. Would definitely stay again when next in the area.

This cottage is a little gem with a lovely vibe and perfectly situated for the town of Corbridge and a short walk from the substantial English Heritage remains of the roman town and a beautifully-curated collection of artefacts, including armour. Watling Cottage is well equipped, immaculately clean and comfy and there were thoughtful, welcoming gifts of milk, bread, butter and biscuits. Both showers were lovely and hot. The living area was cosy and the upstairs was freshly carpeted, providing lovely, woolly, underfoot comfort. Claire is a super-friendly and considerate host; all in all, this is a not-to-be-missed and we can't wait to return for another stay!

My family stayed at Watling Cottage whilst exploring Hadrian's Wall. The host was very welcoming and responsive to all our needs. The cottage was lovely and fully equipped for a longer stay. We particularly loved the internal gas fireplace and sunny aspect. The town of Corbridge is delightful with everything you could need and a great location for Hadrians Wall.
